1.   Overview

This is a seasonal rental contract between the Guest and Monster Chalets SARL, for the short term rental of holiday accommodation and applicable services.

2.   Length of Stay

Our minimum stay for Chalet Verney and Chalet Lichen is 1 week, with check in and check out only on Saturdays during the Ski Season.  For Chalet Gabriel, the minimum stay is 2 nights, during off peak and 1 week during peak.  The date of check in and check out is listed on Page 1 of this contract and under no circumstances may the guest claim any right to maintain in the premises at the end of the stay.  Check in is after 4pm, Check out is strictly before 10am.

 

3.   Booking Confirmation

In order to confirm the reservation a deposit of 25% of the booking fee and a signed copy of the rental contract, or online order via our reservations page must be received by Monster Chalets SARL before the deadline listed. 

 

4.   Transfer of Contract 

This contract cannot be transferred to any third party, natural or legal person unless written permission is given by Monster Chalets SARL.

 

5.   No Withdrawal 

In accordance with the French Consumer Code: Article L121-20-4, the guest does not benefit from the withdrawal period.

6.   Payment Terms

• 25% of total amount Paid to Confirm the Booking, called “Deposit”

• The remaining outstanding balance to be paid latest 30 days before check in date.

 

7.   Cancellation by the Guest

Any cancellation must be notified by email to Monster Chalets

• Cancellation before 60 days of check in date: Full Refund of Deposit

• Cancellation between 60-30 days of check in date: No Refund of Deposit

• Cancellation within 30 days of check in date: No Refund of any money paid

• No Show – If the Guest does not show up within 24 hours from the date / time of check in then this contract becomes void and Monster Chalets SARL may offer the chalet to other guests.  The booked Chalets are forfeited and No refund of any money paid will be given. If the guests arrival is delayed they must call or email us in advance of the official check in time.

• Shortened Stay – No refund will be given for any shortened stay or early check out.

8.   Cancelation by Monster Chalets SARL

In the unfortunately circumstances where Monster Chalets will need to cancel a guests booking, full refund will be given.  No further damages or liability will be sought by the guests.

 

9.   Security Deposit

Either a copy of the guests credit card and signed authorisation or 150 EURO Cash will be left at check in as a Security Deposit.  

 

10.   Liability

All of the chalets are privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. Monster Chalets SARL are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest.  It is recommended that the guests have their own insurance to cover this risk.  By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.

 

11.   Use

People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property.  Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest.  The guest must ensure the peaceful character of the chalets and the region.  No partying or loud music that will disturb other guests on site or the surrounding area is allowed.  The maximum capacity of the chalets is stated on the contract, no additional people above this maximum capacity are allowed.  Monster Chalets has the right to refuse additional people above the maximum capacity and no request for refund can be made.

12.   Cleaning

The chalets will be fully cleaned before the check in time and after check out to get ready for the next guests.  The Rental Fee includes standard cleaning charge.  There are no daily housekeeping services on site.  It is the guests’ responsibility to do all washing up, emptying of the dishwasher, cleaning of oven, stove, microwave and remove all trash from the chalets.  In the event that guests leave the chalet without completing the above items, 50 EUROS will be retained from the Security Deposit.  In the event the chalets are left particularly dirty or fouled additional cleaning fee will be charged and deducted from the Security Deposit.

13.   Breakages, Damages or Fouling

• Only use equipment and Appliances for their intended use.  Any breakages or damages to equipment in the chalet will be deducted from the Security Deposit. 

• Any fouling of the chalets by bodily fluids will incur an automatic Deep Cleaning Fee of 150 EURO and this contract maybe terminated immediately and the guests must vacate immediately.  The police maybe called should the guests not vacate when asked to do so.  No refund of the security deposit or booking fee will be made. 

• The guest is responsible for all damages arising from their act or other who they invite to use the premises.  The guests are required to have their own insurance.  In the event that guests cause large damage then Monster Chalets SARL will ask for additional funds to cover the damage and administration to fix the chalets back to the original state.  

 

14. No Smoking & Drugs

Smoking or any illicit Drugs is NOT allowed.  This includes Cigarettes, Cigars, Vaping, or any self rolling Tobacco as well as any illegal drugs. If there is any evidence of any smoking or other drug taking, either smell or used cigarettes found in the premises a 150 EURO Deep Cleaning Fee shall be charged and automatically deducted from the deposit.

 

15. No Pets Allowed

No pets are allowed in the Chalets without the written permission from Monster Chalets SARL.  Should any pet be found inside the chalets a 150 EURO Deep Cleaning Fee will be charged automatically and deducted from the deposit.

 

16.  Storms / Road Closures

No refunds will be given for storms or road closure to access the property.  Mountain roads can be curvy and steep and long diversions can be announced if there is any accidents or incidents on the major access roads.  Monster Chalets SARL is not responsible or liable for anything outside its premises.

3. Credit Card (+3% Surcharge)

We accept both MasterCard and Visa on site, but due to the extra costs associated with this we have to charge an extra 3% on the transaction amount.

 

18. Dispute Resolution

In the event of dispute that cannot be settled, the guest may consider the Tourism and Travel Mediation (MTV).  MTV provided consumers and businesses in the tourism, transportation, accommodation, leisure and travel sectors to focus on out-of-court dispute resolution.  This mediation is free for the consumer.  For detail please visit http://www.mtv.travel/en/

19. Changes to these Terms

Monster Chalets SARL has the sole right to change or amend these terms at any time.  If you have an existing rental agreement with us, we will inform you of any changes to these terms via the email address given.  If you do not agree to these new terms, you will have 14 days from notification to cancel your contract for a full refund.  After 14 days of notification of the new terms, and no cancellation request be made, it is automatically accepted that you accept the new terms and are bound by them for the current rental agreement.  No request for cancellation under this term can be made after 14 days of notification.
